Who To Watch For:

Spruce Grove:

  • Austin Peters – Forward – Winnipeg, Manitoba – University of Maine

Having already played in one game at the Chilliwack Coliseum, Peters got a taste of the building in which he called home last season but will now take on his former team in the Chiefs on Thursday night. The Maine commit earned an assist in the game on Tuesday against the Express and will surely have an extra step tonight against the Chiefs.

  • Josh Polak – Forward – Strathcona County, Alberta

For a player who has started the season strong, Polak is garnering a fair amount of attention as an uncommitted player at the Showcase and for good reason, having scored on Tuesday to enforce that. The second year Saint is currently sitting second in the BCHL in power play goals as he has mustered three so far this season.

Chilliwack:

  • Mateo Mrsic – Forward – Surrey, BC – Colorado College

Back-to-back multi-goal games has Mrsic with six goals in his opening nine games of the season and five in his last four games to help his team offensively. The Colorado College commit has points in each of those four contests and a plethora of BCHL experience, playing in 168 games while earning 124 points in that process.

  • Dakota McIntosh – Forward – Winnipeg, Manitoba

A name that may be familiar to some Saints fans after spending the season with the Blackfalds Bulldogs last year, McIntosh has incorporated himself very strongly into the Chiefs lineup. The Winnipeg, MB native scored twice against Sherwood Park last Friday and tallied two assists against his former team in the Bulldogs on Saturday and sits with eight points in nine games thus far this season.

The Saints and Chiefs play their one and only game from the BCHL Showcase on Thursday night with a late Alberta-time puck drop of 8:00 PM MST at the Chilliwack Coliseum. The game will be broadcasted live on the Saints Radio Network as well as streamed online on FloHockey.
