Who’s Hot:

Spruce Grove:

  • Carson Lloyd – Defenceman – Toronto, Ontario

Goals in back-to-back games and three of his last four contests sees Lloyd coming into action on Friday riding a season-high three-game point streak as the defender has collected three goals and five assists for eight points in that time. The Toronto, Ontario native posted a goal against his former team in the Vipers on Saturday night and now carries a strong string of offensive play into a big weekend for the Saints with a lot of playoff implications.

  • Matheson Mason – Forward – Toronto, Ontario – Lake Superior State University

One of three players (Mason, Lloyd and Austin Peters) to carry a five-game point streak into Friday night’s action, Mason has found his most consistent success this season over the last handful of games, scoring six goals and adding two assists for eight points during that five-game stretch. The LSSU commit had a four-game goal streak snapped on Saturday but has registered eight goals in his last eight games.

Okotoks:

  • Kade Duell – Forward – Taber, Alberta

Points in nine of his last 10 games has Duell now second in team scoring, posting 43 points in 33 games and a team-high 18 goals on the season, helped by earning tallies in each of his last four games. The Taber native had a huge weekend for the Oilers, scoring five of his team’s six goals throughout their two games including a hat-trick on Friday night against the Chilliwack Chiefs in an 8-3 loss on home ice.

  • Ryder de Nys – Defenceman – Canmore, Alberta

In his second full season with the Oilers, de Nys has posted 18 points from the blue line and plays in a lot of key situations for Okotoks and is on a strong stretch of play recently with points in each of his last four games. The Canmore native has posted six assists in his last four games, including a pair of assists on Saturday night in Cranbrook against the Bucks and has earned an assist in each of the four games he has played against the Saints this season.
