Who’s Hot:

Spruce Grove:

  • Alexy Lachaine – Forward – Blainville, Quebec

Lachaine comes into action on Wednesday having collected goals in each of his last three games played and brings his six points in 15 games into the mid-week contest. The Blainville, Quebec native scored in back-to-back games on November 8th & 9th, which included his first career BCHL goal, before tallying a marker on September 16th against Sherwood Park and will look to continue that goal scoring stretch into Wednesday night on home ice.

  • Austin Peters – Forward – Winnipeg, Manitoba – University of Maine

The Winnipeg, Manitoba native rides a four-game point streak heading into action on Wednesday where he has collected a goal and four assists for five points over that stretch and sits with 14 points in 19 games to be third on the team in scoring. A commit of the University of Maine, Peters has assists in each of his last four games and has collected a point in all but two of his games in November.

Blackfalds:

  • Shane Purves – Forward – Vancouver, BC

Points in back-to-back games has Purves with seven points in 17 games played this season as the rookie had a strong weekend offensively. The Vancouver, BC product tallied a pair of goals on Friday night in Sherwood Park before earning an assist on Saturday against the Silverbacks. Purves has earned points in six games this season and has collected points in back-to-back games three separate times.

  • Joey Melo – Forward – Georgetown, Ontario – University of Alaska-Anchorage

Having not played each of the last two weekends of action, it is undetermined if Melo will get into action in the mid-week affair but if he does, he will have a lengthy point streak he’ll look to continue. The Alaska-Anchorage commit has earned points in each of his last six games, amassing three goals and four assists for seven points in that span while also scoring in each of the last two games he has suited up in.

The Saints and Bulldogs meet for the second of six times this season on Wednesday night at Grant Fuhr Arena. Puck drop is slated for 7:00 PM with tickets available for purchase online at tickets.sprucegrovesaints.ca.
