In a heavily offensive matchup, the Spruce Grove Saints fell to the Cranbrook Bucks by a final score of 6-4.
The first period saw the Bucks scoring two consecutive goals within two minutes to take a commanding 2-0 lead. A few minutes later, Felix Haibock responded with a power play goal to bring the Saints within one. However, the Bucks answered back to again take a two goal lead and go up 3-1. With less than three minutes left, Alexy Lachaine scored on the power play to set the game at 3-2 headed into the second period.
The Bucks then scored the only goals of the second period, going up 5-2.
The Saints got goals from both Josh Polak and Haibock in the third period to bring the game to 5-4 and give Saints fans hope. However, the Bucks sealed the 6-4 win with an empty-net goal.
