In a game that was heavily dominated by special teams, the Spruce Grove Saints came up with a 4-3 win over the Vernon Vipers in overtime.
With less than a minute left in the first period, Tre Peck opened the scoring on the power play to put the Saints up 1-0.
The second period saw Deagan McMillan scoring two power play goals to give the Vipers a 2-1 lead.
Brett Barnes scored an early third period goal to tie the game at two. However, McMillan then scored his third of the night to again take the lead for the Vipers. A few minutes later, James Richards responded with a power play goal of his own to set the game at 3-3 and send it to overtime.
Less than two minutes into overtime, Josh Polak scored his fourth goal in two games to defeat the Vernon Vipers by a 4-3 conclusion.
