GAME RECAP: Saints Come-From-Behind For Win In Prince George

The Spruce Grove Saints delivered a thrilling comeback victory against the Prince George Spruce Kings, scoring five unanswered goals en route to a 5-2 win.

The game started in the Spruce Kings’ favor, as they took a 2-0 lead in the first period. But from the second period onward, it was all Spruce Grove. Ryan De Kok stood tall between the pipes, making 25 saves to support the Saints’ turnaround.

Josh Polak sparked the comeback, scoring early in the second period to cut the deficit to 2-1. Alexy Lachaine followed up with a power-play goal to tie the game at 2, setting the stage for an electric third period.

Kiefer Miller broke the deadlock just under halfway through the final frame, giving the Saints their first lead of the night. The team kept their foot on the gas, with James Richards adding an empty-netter to make it 4-2. Ryan Harvey capped off the victory with a goal in the final seconds, sealing a hard-fought 5-2 win.

With Polak’s three-point night leading the charge and an all-around dominant team performance after the first period, the Saints showed resilience and firepower to earn the win on the road.
