GAME RECAP: Saints Drop 8-2 Decision To Silverbacks On Home Ice

The Spruce Grove Saints faced a tough outing against the Salmon Arm Silverbacks, falling 8-2 in a lopsided contest. 

The Silverbacks set the tone early, dominating the first two periods with five unanswered goals that left the Saints struggling to find their footing.

In the third period, the Saints managed to get on the board when Miller found the back of the net, cutting the deficit to 5-1. However, the Silverbacks quickly responded, adding three more goals to extend their lead to 8-1. Oscar Wu scored late for the Saints, giving them a second tally, but it wasn’t enough to spark a comeback as the game ended with an 8-2 final in favor of Salmon Arm.

The Saints will hit the road and begin a home-and-home set on Friday night as they take on the Sherwood Park Crusaders at Randy Rosen Rink. Puck drop is set for 7:00 PM with the game being broadcasted live on the Saints Radio Network and streamed online on FloHockey.
