At their last home game in 2025, the Spruce Grove Saints fell to the Blackfalds Bulldogs by a final score of 6-3.
Tre Peck opened the scoring late into the first period with the perfect setup from Declan Waddick.
The second period opened up with two consecutive goals from the Bulldogs to take a 2-1 lead over the Saints. However, James Richards then scored his first of the season on the power play to tie the game at two headed into the final period.
Matthew Croxall scored a minute into the third frame to again take a one-goal lead for the Bulldogs. Jared Langdon then followed up to extend the lead for the Bulldogs at 4-2.
With his own goal to bring the Saints back within one, Michael Azzarone now has points in back-to-back games. The Bulldogs then scored a late goal in the third period – setting the score at 5-3. With less than a minute left in the game, Luke Dahlen scored the empty-net goal to set a 5-3 conclusion.
