The Spruce Grove Saints made history as they earned their first ever win at Thompson Family Arena with a 3-2 conclusion over the Salmon Arm Silverbacks.
Joseph Quintilio was the star of the show as he saved 20 out of 22 shots on goal and completed all of the timely saves. The first period saw a fierce battle between the two goaltenders as neither team was able to score.
The second period involved an early snipe from Robert Fedor to put the Saints up 1-0. However, less than a minute later, Luke Sinclair returned fire and the game was tied.
The final period had some more back-and-forth action between the two teams. Felix Haibock scored a backhanded goal to again put the Saints on top 2-1. However, two minutes later, Tanner Walos scored on the power play to set the game at 2-2. Alexy Lachaine then cleaned up a loose puck in front of the net to score the game-winner and earn the 3-2 win.
