The Spruce Grove Saints fell to the Brooks Bandits by a final score of 5-2. The Saints struck first with Alexy Lachaine opening the scoring early, however, Liam Fitzpatrick quickly tied it for the Bandits. With less than a second left in the first, Brooks ended up taking a 2-1 lead.
Nathan Free extended the lead early in the second, followed by Aj Lacroix’s power-play goal to make it 4-1. Keith McInnis added another for the Bandits in the third, before James Richards responded for the Saints to close out the scoring and end the game at 5-2 for Brooks.
Despite the effort, the Saints couldn’t overcome the Bandits’ offensive surge.
