General Manager Rob Sklaruk announced Wednesday the team has acquired defenseman Kenyon McIsaac (’06) from the Alberni Valley Bulldogs in exchange for future considerations.
McIsaac, 19, comes to Spruce Grove having played all of his minor and junior hockey in BC, completing his first full season in the BCHL last year with the Bulldogs where he amassed five goals and 19 points in 49 games played. The 5’11”, 163-pound defender had a strong start to this season where he posted a pair of assists in three games with Alberni Valley before being acquired by the Saints.
The Prince George, BC native brings a vast amount of junior hockey experience to the Saints to go along with his time in Alberni Valley as he also spent parts of three seasons in the Vancouver Island Junior Hockey League (VIJHL). McIsaac also brings playoff experience with him having suited up in 10 playoff games a season ago for the Bulldogs.
The Saints and McIsaac will play their final home game until November on Friday as they host the Sherwood Park Crusaders for the first time this season. Puck drop is slated for 7:00 PM with tickets available for purchase online at tickets.sgsaints.ca.
