Spruce Grove Saints General Manager Rob Sklaruk announced Tuesday that the team has signed forward Gavin McNeil (’07) for the 2026-27 season.
The Apple Valley, Minnesota product enjoyed a standout season with Rosemount High School, recording 44 points (13 goals, 31 assists) in 31 games while serving as team captain. The 6-foot, 187-pound forward brings good size, a high compete level, and strong leadership qualities as he continues his development at the junior level.
“We are excited to welcome Gavin to the Saints organization,” said GM Rob Sklaruk. “He is a hardworking forward who plays the game the right way and competes every shift. Gavin has continued to develop at the junior level, and we believe he has the character and work ethic to be an important part of our team moving forward.”
“I wanted to go somewhere I could develop my skills both on and off the ice. The Saints organization has proven that they can help players move on to the next level while also preparing them for life after hockey,” said McNeil. “I’m beyond excited to play in front of such a passionate fan base, and I’m looking forward to seeing what we can accomplish this upcoming season.”
The Saints would like to welcome Gavin and his family to the organization and the City of Spruce Grove.
