NEWS: Saints Add Mithmuangneua For Remainder of 2024-25 Season

Spruce Grove Saints General Manager Rob Sklaruk announced Monday the team has signed forward Peyton Mithmuangneua (’05) for the remainder of the 2024-25 season.

Mithmuangneua, 19, comes to Spruce Grove after playing parts of the past two seasons with the St. Cloud Norsemen in the North American Hockey League (NAHL) where the 5’10”, 173-pound forward collected 14 goals and 37 assists for 51 points in 69 games. Mithmuangneua got off to a strong start to begin this season, collecting five goals and 15 points in his opening 13 games of the year.

A native of Aldegrove, British Columbia, Mithmuangneua has already scored once in the BC Hockey League, playing in two games as an affiliate player during the 2022-23 season with the Cranbrook Bucks and earning his first BCHL goal on February 24th, 2023 against the Vernon Vipers.

“Peyton is coming back from injury and has been skating for three weeks, looking for the right opportunity to advance his career. We’re excited he has chosen to join our group.” commented Sklaruk, “He is a dynamic player with a high hockey IQ and very strong skills.”

Mithmuangneua will wear number six and join the team immediately as they get set to host the Brooks Bandits on Friday night at Grant Fuhr Arena. Puck drop is slated for 7:00 PM with tickets available for purchase online at tickets.sprucegrovesaints.ca.
