NEWS: Saints Bolster Roster With Addition of Jadon Iyogun

General Manager Rob Sklaruk announced Thursday the team has signed forward Jadon Iyogun (’05) for the 2025-26 season.

Iyogun, 19, joins the Saints following two strong seasons with the Melville Millionaires in the Saskatchewan Junior Hockey League (SJHL) where the 6’1”, 181-pound forward compiled 44 goals and 48 assists for 92 points in 99 games with Melville. The 2024-25 campaign was the strongest for Iyogun, earning 21 goals and 48 points in 51 games while also contributing two goals and five points in five playoff games.

The Calgary, Alberta native also collected the SJHL’s Most Sportsmanlike Player of the Year award and also was able to land a commitment to play at Tennessee State University following the conclusion of his junior hockey career.

The will-be-20-year-old has a lot of intangibles that the Saints were looking for, comments the GM, “Jadon is a player who will add a lot of experience and skill to our lineup,” said Sklaruk, “He is very discipline with winning the Most Sportsmanlike Player of the Year award last year and we look forward to his presence on our roster.”

Iyogun is looking forward to finishing his junior career in a place closer to home, “I’m truly grateful for the opportunity,” explained the forward, “I’m excited to play for such an incredible and prestigious organization and look forward to helping them toward a championship.”

Spruce Grove begins their new season ushering in a new era at the Thompson Family Arena on Friday, September 19th as they host the Brooks Bandits to kick-off the 2025-26 BC Hockey League season.
