NEWS: Forward Brady Witkin Commits To Saints For 2025-26 Season

Spruce Grove Saints General Manager Rob Sklaruk announced on Tuesday the team has committed to forward Brady Witkin (’07) for the 2025-26 season.

Witkin, 18, comes to Spruce Grove after playing each of his last four seasons at Fairmont Prep, a high school program based in Anaheim, California, beginning at the 14U level before finishing in 18U. The 6’0”, 185-pound forward has a knack for goal scoring, compiling a total of 89 goals and adding 84 assists for 173 points in 107 games split between the US High School California league and the 18U AAA league last season.

The Long Beach, California native was named a USHS-California All-Star last season and brings a mix of skill and grit (118 penalty minutes a season ago) to the Saints lineup, “We are excited to have Brady make his way to Spruce Grove and believe he has all the tools to be an effective player for us,” commented Saints GM Rob Sklaruk on Witkin, “His scoring ability matched with a hard working and physical edge to his game really resonated with our staff as a player who could play Saints hockey.”

“I’m super excited to continue my hockey career with such a great organization,” Witkin said of coming to Spruce Grove, “I really look forward to developing as a player and person with the Saints.”

The Saints begins their new season ushering in a new era at the Thompson Family Arena on Friday, September 19th as they host the Brooks Bandits to kick-off the 2025-26 BC Hockey League season.
