Spruce Grove Saints General Manager Rob Sklaruk announced Tuesday that the team has signed defenseman Cole Bent (’08) for the 2026-27 season.
The Halifax, NS product most recently split the 2025-26 season between the Valley Wildcats and Yarmouth Mariners of the Maritime Junior Hockey League (MJAHL). Bent brings experience at the U18 AAA and major junior levels, having previously suited up for the Halifax Mooseheads of the QMJHL.
“We are excited to have Cole join our organization next season,” said GM Rob Sklaruk. “He is a big, physical defenseman who plays with an edge and competes hard every night. Cole defends well, brings toughness to the back end, and has continued to develop his game at the junior level.”
“I am excited to join the Saints and the first-class program that they offer,” said Bent. “Can’t wait to hear the fans at Heavy Metal Place! I look forward to bringing my physical game and getting going in Spruce Grove! Go, Saints!”
