Saints Acquire Juck From Smoke Eaters

Saints General Manager Rob Sklaruk announced the acquisition of 2005 born defenseman Brody Juck from the Trail Smoke Eaters in exchange for 2005 born forward Evan Sundar.

Juck spent the 2023-2024 season with the Lloydminster Bobcats of the Alberta Junior Hockey League (AJHL). In 54 AJHL regular season games, the Coquitlam, BC, native posted an impressive 41 points (9 goals, 32 assists) and 32 penalty minutes from the blue line.

General Manager Sklaruk was pleased to add a veteran defenseman to the Saints back end in Juck, by saying. “Brody has 100 games of junior hockey under his belt. Adding that experience to our back end will be huge for our group. He produced very good offensive numbers as an 18-year-old d-man, but he doesn’t sacrifice his strong defensive game. He’s a steady presence on the blue line. We are very excited to see him continue to evolve his game with the Saints.”

The 6’1” 185-pound left shooting defenseman played the 2022-23 season with the Smoke Eaters as well as 14 games in the 2021-2022 season with his hometown Coquitlam Express.

The newly acquired Juck, was thrilled to be joining the Saints saying. “I’m excited to join such a great organization and provide leadership on the back end. I’m really looking forward to the opportunity to be part of a team that takes pride in development, while carrying a winning culture and a focus on moving players to the next level.”
